And then there’s me. If you’ve made it to this page without stopping at the introduction, I’m the DLI at the bottom of most of the posts and pages at this site. I was born in Anchorage, Alaska but spent most of my younger life in Sonoma County, California. Alfred Hitchcock shot The Birds 10 miles away from where I went to high school.

I was involved, ever so slightly in the creation of the original Oz Squad comic book. Back in 1991 and 1992 Oz Squad shared a publisher, Brave New Words with Misspent Youths, a comic that I had created. Misspent Youths ceased publication with issue #5 but I wasn’t ready to give trying to make a living drawing comics. Oz Squad needed an inker for the fourth issue so I inked Andrew Murphy’s last round as penciller and drew the cover to that issue as well. I contributed pin-ups for the first four issues. I was one of the artists involved in the Millenium Special. Terry Loh took over drawing Oz Squad with the 5th regular issue. I kept drawing comics but mostly for the fun of it rather than as a way to make a living.

I moved to Seattle. I got married. I ran a couple of bookstores. The internet grew from something only a few computer minded folks knew about into an ever more integral part of the culture. I moved to Portland and back and finally settled down, beginning in 2001, for a ten year run as the office manager at a tech support company.

In 2003 I noticed that the world wide web lacked a webpage – official, fan or otherwise – for either Oz Squad or Oz related comics in general. So I made one. Steve and I got in contact and that lead to an offer for me to draw a new Oz Squad series. In 2004. It’s the end of 2011 as I write this and the first issue is still in the works. That’s all my fault. Steve went and wrote March of Tin Soldiers while waiting on me. Did I mention that Steve is a patient man?
